Thriller Live, the West End show celebrating the music of Michael Jackson, is launching a Facebook campaign to find new stars for the London production and the world tour.

Talented hip hop dancers from anywhere in the world are invited to upload an audition video to Thriller Live’s Facebook page during the period 13 October to 17 November. Fans can then vote for their favourites, before the 15 dancers with the most votes are invited to come and audition in person in front of the show’s director and choreographer, Gary Lloyd. Those who impress will win a place in the cast of Thriller Live.

Lloyd commented: “We are always getting requests from around the world to be part of this amazing show and play a part in keeping Michael Jackson’s legend alive. By harnessing the power of Facebook we will create a truly open and global audition process to find superstar dancers for this show.”

Auditionees should have a playing age of 18 to 25 and are expected to have strong technical hip hop ability and a stand-out personal style, with break-dancing, acro and popping/locking skills being advantageous.

Thriller Live has been thrilling Jacko fans at the Lyric theatre since January 2009 with its blend of hit songs, funky choreography and visual effects. Combining hits from Jackson’s time with his brothers in the Jackson Five and from his hugely successful solo career, the show includes the famous songs Ben, ABC, Thriller and Bad.
