TheatreCraft places available

Published 27 November 2009

If you are aged 17-25 and interested in a career behind the scenes in theatre, TheatreCraft, an annual event held at the London Coliseum, offers a unique glimpse into what really goes on backstage.

Taking place at the London Coliseum on 2 December, TheatreCraft offers attendees the chance to take part in over 50 workshops, talks and demonstrations covering all areas of backstage work from producing or directing to technical disciplines. There will also be the opportunity to receive one-to-one advice from leading theatres and training providers.

Participants will have the chance to gain a further insight into careers available in the industry at the TheatreCraft Marketplace, where representatives from companies including Ambassador Theatre Group, English National Opera, Mousetrap Theatre Productions and the Society of London Theatre will be on hand to explain how to go about embarking on a career in the field you are interested in.

Places are still available for the morning session which takes place from 09:30-13:00 and is specifically tailored to individuals aged 17-19 who are looking to begin a career in theatre. For more information and to register for a place, visit www.masterclass.org.uk/theatrecraft/
