The Mousetrap Interviews: Miss Casewell

Published 16 January 2014

Angellica Bell faces possibly her prickliest customer to date as she interviews The Mousetrap’s Miss Casewell.

Prickly may not, in fact, do Miss Casewell justice. It conjures images of a cute little hedgehog whose spiny back might warn you off too firm a stroke. Imagine that same hedgehog, but scowling, steam pouring from her little hedgehog ears, firmly tapping a hedgehog-sized cosh against an open paw while looking at you with a face that says “Go on, ask me one more intrusive question…” Now you’re getting close.

The guest at The Mousetrap’s Monkswell Manor sure doesn’t like questions, which is awkward, as there are more than a couple asked in Agatha Christie’s thriller, which has kept theatregoers wondering whodunit for more than 60 years.

To discover just how uptight Miss Casewell can be, you’ll have to head to the Ambassador’s Theatre to see The Mousetrap, but you can get a taste in the video at the top of the page.
