The Bush Theatre has announced that it will reopen a week today! The theatre will open its doors on 6 August with new social distancing measures and interim opening times.

They’ve also announced a series of activities for the local community over the summer. The Summer Project for 14-17-year-olds from West London will facilitate creative workshops on storytelling, acting and creative writing.

They also announce a series of online masterclasses for budding theatremakers, run by practitioners including actor Adjoa Andoh (Doctor Who, Richard II, Leave Taking), writer Jonathan Harvey (Beautiful Thing, Coronation Street) and writer and director Rikki Beadle-Blair (Team Angelica).

The theatre is also building partnerships with local associates including Shepherd’s Bush Families Project and White City Youth Theatre to support existing community responses to the pandemic.

To support its re-opening the Bush Theatre has also launched Write The Bush’s Future, a new campaign for friends of the Bush to pledge support.

More information on opening times of the theatre and the Library Bar, as well as safety guidelines can be found on the Bush’s website.
