Tell Us In 10: Sophie Isaacs

Kitty Underwood

By Kitty Underwood Published 14 December 2021

In our profile series, Tell Us In 10, we ask cast members and creatives of top London shows to tell us all about themselves in just 10 questions.

This week we hear from, Sophie Isaacs, who currently stars in Pantoland At The Palladium, though you may recognise her from Heathers The Musical or Six!

Find out more about Sophie in our Tell Us In 10…

1. My route into theatre was…

An accidental audition at the age of 7 for Whistle Down the Wind at our local Cheltenham Everyman Theatre. My sister was desperate to audition but Mum didn’t have child care for me, so the only option was to join her! We both got cast and had one of the best summers [and cried] uncontrollably when it ended!!

2. My West End idol is…

Hannah Waddingham.

3. My colleagues would describe me as…

Organised!

Pantoland at the Palladium

4. My favourite show present or past (that isn’t one I star in/work on) is…

Lord of the Rings is one of the only musicals I’ve seen twice!

5. The career moment I’m most proud of is…

Originating 2 roles in the West End and meeting Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby on This Morning!

6. The hardest part about my job/role is…

Anti-social hours! My ‘weekend’ is a Monday, so getting to spend time with my boyfriend, friends and family is tricky. Oh, and making it down to warm-up on time!

7. If I wasn’t an actor I would be…

Official Dog Whisperer.

8. Something people don’t know about me is…

I have no middle name!

9. The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is…

Better to try and fail than not try at all.

10. The one thing I wish I could tell my younger self is…

Stay in your own lane, don’t get distracted by other people’s journey. Always eat a substantial meal before a night out with the girls!!

You can catch Pantoland At The Palladium at… well, the London Palladium until 9 January! Starring Donny Osmond, Julian Clary, Gary Wilmot and Jac Yarrow all alongside Sophie, it’s a star-studded festive delight. Grab your tickets below!
