In our profile series, Tell Us In 10, we ask cast members and creatives of top London shows to tell us all about themselves in just 10 questions. From how their castmates would describe them and alternative careers, to their Theatreland idols, we want to know it all!

This week, we hear from Liza Sadovy, who will be playing Aunt Eller in Oklahoma! at Wyndham’s Theatre from 16 February.

Find out more about Liza and her career so far below:

1) My route into theatre was…

Via my auntie, she was a professional ballet dancer before moving in to teaching. She would always take me to see shows at our local theatre and that’s when I fell in love with it all.

2) My West End idol is…

I don’t have one west end idol there are so many very talented people to admire.

3) My colleagues would describe me as…

I have just asked a colleague and he said I was dedicated, professional and fun. I like the fun bit best.

4) My favourite show (that isn’t one I star in/work on) is…

Well I can say this officially because I’m not in it anymore but I still think Cabaret is one of the best shows in town. Having said that I also loved the ‘As You Like It’ which I saw recently at the @sohoplace theatre in Charing Cross Road.

5) The career moment I’m most proud of is…

Getting the part of Fraulien Schneider in Cabaret, playing the role, getting an Olivier nomination for the role and then winning that award for Best Supportive Actress in a Musical.

6) The hardest part about my job/role is…

Being unemployed.

7) If I wasn’t an actor, I would be…

An actor!!

8) Something people don’t know about me is…

Well if I told you then they would know it, wouldn’t they?!

9) The best piece of advice I’ve ever been given is…

Keep your sense of humour. Play comedy like tragedy and tragedy like comedy.

10) The one thing I wish I could tell my younger self is…

Just be confident, and calm down!!!!
