We first met Summer Strallen six years ago, when she was starring in The Boy Friend at the Regent’s Park Open Air theatre. Back then, she was just breaking out into the big time. How things have changed.
Since that summer she has received two Olivier Award nominations – for The Boy Friend and The Drowsy Chaperone – has been selected by Andrew Lloyd Webber to first appear in TV soap Hollyoaks before, following an on-screen storyline, replacing Connie Fisher in The Sound Of Music, and starred in The Phantom Of The Opera sequel Love Never Dies.
So we were delighted when she agreed to be the first star of Top Hat to take over our Twitter account and answer your questions. You can read through a selection below.
Strallen’s Top Hat colleague, actress Vivien Parry, will be the second of the show’s stars to join in the fun. The star of shows including Mamma Mia!, Fame and Blood Brothers will take over @O_L_T from 12:30 on Tuesday 13 November, so have your questions ready and remember to use #TopHatChat in your tweet.
