The Unicorn theatre is to present a new piece by visionary performance artist Mark Storor that explores the experiences of children who undergo dialysis.

For The Best, which runs at the Unicorn from 2 to 28 June (press night 4 June), is a promenade performance and installation in which six actors and three children take audiences on a journey through the hidden spaces and unknown corridors of the theatre, helping them to see life through the eyes of children on dialysis.

The piece is the result of nine months of work in which Storor, producer Anna Ledgard and a team of performers collaborated with children from the Dialysis Unit of the Evelina Children’s Hospital School and 60 primary school children in South London.

For The Best is the third in a series of productions supported by the Wellcome Trust, following Visiting Time and Boychild. Storor’s other work includes Best Behaviour, which played at Polka theatre.

For The Best plays at the Unicorn theatre as part of its spring season, which also includes Twelfth Night, Cinderella and Under The Carpet.
