Stars prepare for West End Bares

First Published 28 August 2014, Last Updated 28 August 2014

Jake Canuso, James Dreyfuss, Matt Evers, Jill Halfpenny, Helen Lederer and Harriet Thorpe may not have a Cluedo what they’ve let themselves in for when they signed up as special guest presenters for this year’s West End Bares ‘Nudedunnit’.

The answer behind that mystery will be revealed, along with a whole lot more, on 7 September, when the performers from many of the West End’s most popular shows strip to raise money for charity at the annual event that this year has a murder mystery theme.

Previous guest presenters Sheridan Smith and Robin Windsor have both ended the evening with less clothes on than when they started, so the clues are there for this year’s intrepid band of introducers.

The evening of risqué entertainment, in which audience members see far more of their favourite stage stars than ever before, features performances at 21:30 and midnight.

West End Bares raises money for the Make A Difference Trust, an entertainment industry charity that works to help people living with HIV and AIDS in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa. Based on America’s Broadway Bares – the brainchild of Dirty Rotten Scoundrels The Musical director Jerry Mitchell – West End Bares has been running for five years and has raised more than £100,000 in that time.

Tickets for West End Bares cost £40 and £65 and can be purchased from the West End Bares website.
