Spot The Difference: Come From Away

By Hira Desai First Published 20 January 2021, Last Updated 25 January 2021

The second show in our West End Spot The Difference series, is the multi-Olivier Award-winning musical, Come From Away.

Written by Irene Sankoff and David Hein, Come From Away tells the incredible true story of the 7,000 air passengers who were grounded in Canada after the 9/11 attacks.

Set in Newfoundland, the heartwarming musical follows the small community of Gander who invited these “come from aways” into their homes and lives. Though there are initial nerves and tensions, they soon begin to build trust and friendship leading to nights filled with music and friendships filled with gratitude. It’s a beautiful reminder of hope, humanity and unity prevailing in the wake of crisis.

This foot-stomping, tear-jerking, heart-warming musical is just what the world needs right now!
