There’s little that piques more media interest than all five Spice Girls appearing in one place, which is what happened at the launch of Viva Forever!

Ginger, Sporty, Baby, Scary and Posh, as they were known back in the mid-90s and early 2000s – Geri Halliwell, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown and Victoria Beckham – returned to the St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, the scene of their iconic first video Wannabe to help launch the new musical based on the back catalogue of their hits, Viva Forever!

They were joined at the packed event by writer Jennifer Saunders, who has created a tale of friendship, motherhood and celebrity inspired by the catchy pop tunes, producer Judy Cramer and the show’s creative team, which includes director Paul Garrington.

We were there too, of course, eager to hear what we wanted, what we really really wanted to know. If you weren’t, above is a video to give you a taster of what happened and what you can expect from the show that opens at the Piccadilly theatre in December.
