Showstopper! returns to West End

First Published 29 July 2011, Last Updated 29 July 2011

Showstopper! The Improvised Musical is to enjoy a return West End visit at the Ambassadors theatre this autumn, playing on Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 20 September to 12 October.

The show, which is playing its fourth season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer, is entirely improvised and therefore totally unpredictable. Taking suggestions from the audience, a writer and his troupe of actors create a brand new musical every night, to include catchy songs, dance routines and dialogue.

The format was devised by improvisation veterans Adam Meggido and Dylan Emery whose productions also include Shall We Shog at Shakespeare’s Globe and In Pursuit Of Cardenio at the Edinburgh Festival.

Showstopper! played its first West End season earlier this year. On returning to the Ambassadors theatre it will once again share the venue with long-term resident Stomp, whose schedule excludes Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
