West End Wednesdays

September return for West End Wednesdays

First Published 20 August 2015, Last Updated 21 August 2015

Theatre lovers will have another opportunity to take advantage of half price tickets to a host of London’s hottest shows this September as TKTS’ West End Wednesdays returns with more bank balance-friendly bargains.

The increasingly popular ticket promotion, which offers midweek treats to customers visiting the Leicester Square ticket booth on the day, has tickets available for everything from Olivier Award-winning musicals to brand new plays, with prices starting from just £8.75.

Alongside much-loved musicals Sunny Afternoon, Memphis The Musical, American Idiot, The Commitments, Thriller Live and Dusty, the September promotion will give audiences the chance to see performances from acclaimed actors including Rob Brydon, James Fox and Lia Williams for 50% of the normal ticket price.

The Old Vic’s forthcoming production of Future Conditional starring Brydon, Dear Lupin, which sees two-time BAFTA winner James Fox appear alongside his son Jack, and the Williams-led West End transfer of Almeida Theatre hit Oresteia are three of the plays taking part.

They are joined by long-running classic The Woman In Black, Olivier Award-winning comedy The Play That Goes Wrong, the West End transfer of McQueen, National Youth Theatre productions of The Merchant Of Venice and Consensual, and Mouthful, a series of plays tackling the global food crisis.

As well as taking advantage of the incredible discount, West End Wednesdays customers can purchase their tickets safe in the knowledge that they’re buying from a reliable source, with all profits also reinvested back into the theatre industry.

West End Wednesdays tickets are available on every Wednesday in September, but not all shows are offering tickets to every performance, so make sure you check the TKTS website before making that all-important journey to Leicester Square.

Those finding themselves lacking in free time on Wednesdays shouldn’t feel like they’re missing out, as TKTS offers an amazing array of tickets for an even greater selection of London shows seven days a week. Situated in the Clocktower building in Leicester Square, the booth offers tickets for performances on the day and up to a week advance, with many at a discount.

Theatre-loving families for whom September seems just that little bit too far away can also take advantage of our annual kids go free promotion Kids Week, which offers a free child’s ticket with every full price ticket purchased for performances in August.
