Richmond Theatre's Creative Learning Festival

Richmond Theatre creates family choir

First Published 23 May 2014, Last Updated 23 May 2014

Richmond Theatre will host its first ever Creative Learning Festival this July and is calling out for families to join its family choir for a spectacular closing event.

Taking place from 23 to 26 July, more than 200 participants from its Creative Learning groups aged between five and 85-years-old will present work to the general public for the very first time over the three day festival packed with inspirational shows.

From the theatre’s talented young Richmond Musical Theatre Company’s fairground-set Dazzle! (23 July) to the Young Theatre & Adult Acting Company’s inventive reworking of the Grimms’ Fairy Tales The Suitcase Stories (24 July) featuring British Sign Language, the festival has an eclectic range of entertainment on offer.

On 26 July the festival will present Celebration!, a final evening of bright, colourful musical theatre.  As part of the night of energetic and fun musical numbers, a special family choir will perform as a chorus to support the Richmond Theatre Community Choir in an exciting finale.

The theatre is looking for individuals, couples and families to join in the fun and be a part of this one-off specially created choir. For more information or to register your interest, email nicolaward@theambassadors.com by 1 July.

Tickets for all shows in the festival are £5.50. Visit the Richmond Theatre website for more information or call the box office on 0844 871 7651 to book.
