RAD gets in on the Act

Budding young dancers can take part in a workshop inspired by a top West End show at the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) this month.

The Musical Theatre Workshop, held on 28 February, introduces participants aged seven to 13 to sections of the choreography from the musical Sister Act, which has been running at the London Palladium since May last year.

The event is held at RAD’s headquarters in Battersea and ends with the chance for students to present their work to friends and family.

Based on the 1992 film, Sister Act is the story of a club singer who witnesses a murder and is put in protective custody in  the one place the police are sure she won’t be found – a convent. Under the watchful eye of Mother Superior, the extrovert singer soon sets about transforming the convent’s choir.
