Production photos: Jesus Christ Superstar

Published 17 August 2017

The Olivier Award-winning Magic Radio Best Musical Revival which astounded audiences al fresco is back at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre, and looking better than ever.

Following its overwhelming sell-out success in 2016, the musical revival returns this summer to grant audiences one final chance to see it in its original home, with original cast members Declan Bennett, Tyrone Huntley (Olivier nominee for Best Actor in a Musical), David Thaxton and Peter Caulfield reprising their roles.

And as these stunning production photos demonstrate, this is one spectacle which quite simply should not be missed.

Loosely based on the Gospels’ accounts of the last week of Jesus’ life, Jesus Christ Superstar details the interpersonal struggles between Jesus and Judas Iscariot through rip-roaringly powerful and punchy music.

With a renowned score including I Don’t Know How To Love Him, Gethsemane and Superstar, musical direction by Tom Deering and choreography by Drew McOnie, direction from Timothy Sheader, and spectacle, comedy and heart-breaking betrayal in abundance, this production promises an epic experience.

Jesus Christ Superstar plays until 23 September. Book your tickets today!
