We don’t have a sorting hat or OWL tests, so when we set out on a mission to discover which of Potted Potter‘s performers knew more about the show’s magical subject matter, the most obvious choice was a fiendish Harry Potter quiz.
Our quest laid out before us, the wisest minds at Official London Theatre set their brains to concocting questions about hippogriffs, Gringotts, wands, wizards and other imaginative creations to escape from the mind of JK Rowling.
With 20 of the most searching nuggets of trivia – well, a few less stretching morsels were thrown in too – in hand, we set off to meet Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner, the production’s creators and cast, to put their knowledge to the test.
Where better to host this quiz than next to a roaring fire in a secret room at the Garrick theatre, where Potted Potter, which races through all seven Harry Potter books – from Hogwarts and Quidditch to horcruxes and Hufflepuff – in just 70 hilarious minutes, is currently entertaining children and adults alike.
