Peppa Pig makes Big Splash in London

Published 5 November 2013

Everyone’s favourite porker will return to the West End this Christmas, as Peppa Pig takes over the Criterion theatre for a fourth consecutive London season with Peppa Pig’s Big Splash.

Playing from 5 December to 5 January, the new production, which follows the success of Peppa Pig’s Treasure Hunt in 2012, meets Peppa and her friends as they organise a fete to raise money for the repairs needed to fix the nursery’s leaking roof.

Featuring bunting, stalls and a Champion Puddle Jumping competition judged by Mr Potato, where everyone gets wet and Peppa needs to find her golden boots, the show sees the famous pink pig, her family, Danny Dog, Pedro Pony and Suzy Sheep organise a fun-filled day out for everyone.

The all-singing, all-dancing adventure, which promises plenty of songs, games and muddy puddles, marks the 10th anniversary of Peppa Pig, who has become a favourite among children worldwide thanks to her stage and screen antics.

Brought to life on stage with puppets and sing-a-long songs, Peppa Pig’s Big Splash sees a cast including Emma Grace Arends, Victoria Corlass, Kerry Gooderson, Lindsay Harding  Evie James, Ryan Kirwan, David Sandham and Luke Spencer portray the loveable swine and her companions.

Peppa’s London outing, which is part of a UK and Ireland tour, will play daytime performances alongside another family favourite The 39 Steps, which will continue to amuse audiences with its comic adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s classic spy thriller throughout the festive season.
