Ever slipped over on the icy pavement? Hit by a flying snowball? Tripped over a stray present on the floor? There are plenty of ways to learn about the biological mechanics of pain at Christmas – but none more hilarious this year than catching the hit CBBC television show, Operation Ouch!, performed live in the West End.

Audiences can expect incredible stunts, crazy experiments and amazing facts, as Operation Ouch! creators Dr Chris and Dr Xand explore the fascinating world of biology. Throwing in their favourite bits from the television show, it promises to be a fun-filled showcase of all the awesome things the body can do.

The double BAFTA-winning Operation Ouch! will play a limited season at the West End’s Apollo Theatre from 6 December 2018 to 6 January 2019. It’s the first time ever in the UK that the show has been performed live on stage.

Dr Chris and Dr Xand van Tulleken are identical twins from London who both practise medicine. The duo have appeared together in programmes such as The Human Body: Secrets Of Your Life Revealed and Medicine Men Go Wild. Operation Ouch! is set to be shown on CBBC early 2019.

Recommended for ages 5+, don’t miss the brilliant Operation Ouch! this festive season.

Looking for family theatre this month? Why not try Kids Week? Throughout August, a child aged 16 or under can go free  to top London shows when accompanied by an adult paying full price. Adults can also purchase up to two extra children’s tickets at half price, and there are no booking fees to pay.
