Opening Night: An American In Paris

Published 22 March 2017

The artful romance of post-war Paris stole our breath and hearts last night as An American In Paris opened at the Dominion Theatre. We spoke to some of the cast at the post-show celebration about the beautifully enchanting production.

Award-winning musical An American In Paris transports West End audiences to a French capital beautifully adorned with artistic possibility, sweeping romance, and timeless George and Ira Gershwin music and lyrics.

A stunning reimagining of the Oscar-winning film, the musical was acclaimed upon its widely lauded Broadway run, telling the story of Jerry Mulligan, an American GI striving for success as a painter at the cessation of the war.

In a city whose streets are overflowing with joyous hope and sheer potential, a chance encounter with beautiful young dancer Lise leads Jerry on a journey of friendship, love and a sensuous romance of art.

An American In Paris is booking at the Dominion Theatre until 30 September. You can book your tickets through us here.
