National premieres Entry Pass

First Published 13 August 2008, Last Updated 13 August 2008

Entry Pass, the National Theatre’s £5 ticket scheme for 15-19 year olds, launches on 27 August with a day-long event called The Premiere.

The event offers £5 tickets to see current shows The Revenger’s Tragedy in the Olivier theatre and Waves in the Cottesloe, the chance to star in your own film in the Entry Pass studio, a backstage tour of the National, a post-show talk on The Revenger’s Tragedy, plus an exclusive Q&A with playwright Kwame Kwei-Armah (Statement Of Regret, Let There Be Love) and members of the NT acting company.

Entry Pass is a new membership scheme initiated by the National Theatre which offers 15-19 year olds the chance to buy £5 tickets for all productions in the National’s three auditoria. Members of the scheme can also purchase ‘mates rates’ tickets at £7.50 for friends accompanying them to a show.

Visitors to the National can also currently enjoy the free activities in the Watch This Space festival, held outside on Theatre Square. On 27 August Upswing Aerial will be demonstrating its particular brand of performance, which combines urban dance with traditional circus skills.

For more information on Entry Pass and to download an application form, visit www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/entrypass. To book tickets for the launch event on 27 August call 020 7452 3000 or visit the website.
