More wizardry at Trafalgar Studios

First Published 23 October 2008, Last Updated 23 October 2008

Dan and Jeff will bring their popular parody of J K Rowling’s Harry Potter books back to Trafalgar Studio 2 this Christmas in the show’s final visit to London.

In Potted Potter: The Unauthorised Harry Experience, the show’s creators Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner package Rowling’s seven Potter books into one fast and furious 70-minute show, enacting all the famous characters and even indulging in a spot of Quidditch with the audience.

Potted Potter began in 2005 when Dan and Jeff were asked to create a five-minute performance for a bookshop to launch the sixth Potter book. From those humble beginnings, the pair developed an hour-long version which they took to the Edinburgh Festival in 2006 and performed on TV’s Richard and Judy and Blue Peter. Further developed with directors Dominic Knutton and Richard Hurst, the show returned twice to Edinburgh and came to Trafalgar Studios last Christmas. It now visits the venue once more, in the hope that Potter creator Rowling will finally be able to get a ticket.

Potted Potter: The Unauthorised Harry Experience plays from 1 December to 3 January (press night 3 December).
