Military Wives perform with Eternity

Published 2 December 2013

The Military Wives Choir will join the cast of From Here To Eternity to perform a special curtain call rendition of Boys Of ’41 on 7 December to mark the anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Tim Rice’s musical adaptation of the classic novel recreates the story of the romantic entanglements and personal struggles of the members of the platoon stationed at the Hawaiian naval base that famously came under surprise attack during the Second World War in 1941.

The special performance of Boys Of ’41, which will be dedicated to the many soldiers who lost their lives during the attack, will be introduced by the show’s lyricist and producer Rice. The full company of Tamara Harvey’s production, including the show’s stars Darius Campbell, Siubhan Harrison, Robert Lonsdale, Rebecca Thornhill and Ryan Sampson, will be joined on stage by the choir who sensationally earned a number one Christmas single in 2011 following their appearance on the BBC series The Choir: Military Wives.

While the show announced last week that it would be closing at the Shaftesbury theatre in April, fans will be able to purchase leading man Lonsdale’s new single version of another of the show’s songs Fight The Fight released on 8 December. Watch the video above here.
