London stage regular and Eternal Law star Tobias Menzies will lead the cast of Fear, the debut play by Dominic Savage, when it opens at the Bush theatre next month.

The Shadow Line star plays Gerald in Savage’s tale of a botched late night robbery that ends a young banker’s life and gives his attacker’s life a dramatic turn.

Menzies, whose recent London credits include hit Donmar Warehouse comedy The Recruiting Officer, Headlong’s site specific Decade and the Keira Knightley-led The Children’s Hour, appears in Fear with Eva Birthistle, Lorna Brown, Aymen Hamdouchi and Jason Maza

Savage, whose play explores what we value and what we fear, is better known for his award-winning film and television work, which includes Nice Girl and Out Of Control.

Fear opens at the Bush theatre in June after the run of The Beloved, the new take on the tale of Abraham and Isaac that runs at the West London venue as part of World Stages London.
