Fortunately for Tina – The Tina Turner Musical, they’ve got two incredible gifted individuals – Nkeki Obi-Melekwe and Ashley Zhangazha – who started their roles as Tina and Ike in the Olivier Award-nominated musical recently.
So when we were offered the chance to meet the West End’s two latest breakout stars, we knew it was Simply The Best opportunity – and headed along to find out what it’s like to play such an iconic duo in the world of Rock and Roll. Find out more below.

From humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to the global Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical is the brilliant biographical musical which follows the story of a global icon, featuring her much loved songs.
Presented in association with Tina Turner herself, Nkeki Obi-Melekwe, making her West End debut in the role, portrays the titular global star in this triumphant musical tale, which was also nominated for Best New Musical at the Olivier Awards 2019 with Mastercard.
