Married couple to star in Mamma Mia!

First Published 27 April 2012, Last Updated 27 April 2012

Gary Milner is to appear on stage alongside his real-life wife when he joins the cast of hit musical Mamma Mia! at the Prince of Wales theatre from 11 June.
Milner, who has recently been seen on stage in Pericles at the Regent’s Park Open Air theatre, will take on the role of Sam Carmichael alongside his other half, Sally Ann Triplett, who has been playing Donna Sheridan since June last year.

They will be joined on the musical’s Greek island by fellow cast members Neil Roberts, James Gaddas, Charlotte Wakefield, Andreas Gyllander, Abiola Ogunbiyi, Tasha Taylor Johnson, Steven Oliver and Liam Doyle.

Wakefield joins the production as bride-to-be Sophie Sheridan, a role she has been playing since last year as part of the show’s international touring production. Best-known for her role in the acclaimed but short-lived musical Spring Awakening, her on-screen appearances include Holby City, Waterloo Road and The Royal.

The new cast will appear in Mamma Mia! at the Prince of Wales theatre until 1 September before moving with the production to the Novello theatre from 6 September.

Mamma Mia! is taking part in Get Into London Theatre 2012, offering reduced price tickets for performances between 21 June and 9 September. To take advantage of the offer, book now!
