The Almeida Theatre announces new project Six Artists in Search of a Play

Taking place from 19 May – 5 June, both live at the Almeida and online, is Six Artists in Search of a Play.

Artists Ebenezer Bamgboye, Atri Banerjee, Nastazja Domaradzka, Anthony Lau, Audrey Sheffield and Cherrelle Skeete present semi-staged readings of plays rarely seen in the UK and curate a programme of live music, dance and panel discussions exploring different theatrical traditions from around the world. Much of the programme, including all of the semi-staged readings, will be performed to socially distanced audiences at the Almeida and all events will be filmed and made available digitally at a later date.

Hamilton will return to the West End from 19 August

Jeffrey Seller and Cameron Mackintosh, producers of the West End production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Hamilton, are delighted to announce that from 19 August 2021 the show will resume performances at the Victoria Palace Theatre.

Olivier Award-winning West End production Mary Poppins flies back on stage this summer

Cameron Mackintosh and Disney are delighted to announce that their Olivier Award-winning production of Mary Poppins, ‘practically perfect in every way’, will resume performances at the Prince Edward Theatre from 7 August 2021.  After over a year of shutdown, the company led by the critically acclaimed stars of the show Zizi Strallen as ‘Mary Poppins’ and Charlie Stemp as ‘Bert’ will begin rehearsals shortly in advance of their return.

Peppa Pig Live returns to the West End this Christmas

Peppa Pig’s Best Day Ever!, the latest live show based on the much loved animated TV series from eOne, Hasbro’s global entertainment studio, will resume its extensive UK and Ireland tour from 15 October 2021, visiting over 80 venues, with further dates to be added shortly.

Not only will Peppa and friends be jumping in muddy puddles across the UK and Ireland, but also making a big splash in the West End for a strictly limited Christmas season. The London season runs from 2 December 2021 – 2 January 2022, at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, for a limited 48 performances.

Peppa Pig is excited to be going on a special day out with George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig – it’s going to be her best day ever! Get ready for a road-trip full of fun adventures. From castles to caves, dragons to dinosaurs and ice-creams to muddy puddles – there is something for all of the family and their friends to enjoy, including Miss Rabbit, Mr Bull, Suzy Sheep, Gerald Giraffe and more!
