The Jamie Lloyd Company today announced the full casting for The Seagull.
Running at the Playhouse Theatre from 11 March to 30 May, the second production in the Playhouse season sees the previously announced Emilia Clarke (as Nina) joined by: Danny Ashok (as Medvedenko), Robert Glenister (as Sorin), Tom Rhys Harries (as Trigorin), Daniel Monks (as Konstantin), Tamzin Outhwaite (as Polina), Patrick Robinson (as Dorn), Seun Shote (as Shamrayev), Indira Varma (as Arkadina), and Sophie Wu (as Masha).
Anya Reiss’ unique modernisation of Anton Chekhov’s The Seagull follows the story of: a young woman desperate for fame and a way out; a young man pining after the woman of his dreams; a successful writer longing for a sense of achievement; and an actress wanting to fight the changing of the times.
In an isolated home in the countryside where dreams are in tatters, hopes dashed, hearts broken and there is nowhere left to turn, the only option is to turn on each other.
With the first production in the season, Cyrano De Bergerac, selling like hotcakes, you’ll definitely want to snap up tickets to see this unique production.

We caught a first look at The Taming Of The Shrew opening tomorrow in the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse at Shakespeare’s Globe.
Directed by Maria Gaitanidi and designed by Liam Bunster, this famous tale tells the story of Katharina and Bianca, the daughters of a rich man of Padua, who are ready to marry. The only rule is: the youngest can only be won if the eldest finds her equal. But with Katharina strong-willed and not afraid to challenge rules, who will be able to rival her?
