Louise Dearman and Oliver Tompsett to join Theatre Chat Live tomorrow

Louise Dearman and Oliver Tompsett

We’re missing theatre like crazy over here at Official London Theatre and we know you are too so we’ve launched a Theatre Chat Live series every Tuesday at 6pm on our Official London Theatre Instagram channel where you can meet like-minded theatre fans, chat all things stage and even enjoy some interviews with special guests.

This week, we will be joined by West End stars Louise Dearman and Oliver Tompsett, both of whom you have starred in Wicked – the spellbinding West End show we all know and love. We will be talking to Louise and Oliver about what they’ve been up to during lockdown and they’ll be sharing all the details about West End Your Way – a VIP 2-way theatre experience that offers you the chance to be entertained by your fave West End stars in the comfort of your own home. With performances, Q&A’s and more, all planned exclusively for you, this would make the perfect Valentine’s or birthday gift for a stagey loved one. Be sure to tune in to find out more.

In the meantime, pop your reminders into your phones, click here to watch our previous episodes of Theatre Chat Live and we look forward to seeing you tomorrow evening!

The Mischief team is delighted to announce a further 10 performances of Mischief Movie Night In, from 5 – 21 February 2021. These will be the final dates from their emergency comedy bunker, streaming live into homes for more evenings of hilarious improv. The remaining performances include a Sequel Sunday special double-bill on 7 February and a Valentine’s Day Rom-Com special on 14 February. Passes are from £10 and are on sale now.

Audiences are tuning in from all over the world with participants from 60 different countries so far, including America, Canada, all across Europe and as far away as South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

Viewers set the genre, the location and the title, and the Mischief team improvise the movie live-streamed straight to your sofa. Each movie includes additional content as suggested via social media – so follow along with the fun on Twitter with #MischiefMovieNightIn. Every performance is its own first and last night. Book now for one or all ten and see something unique every time!

The Sequel Sunday special on 7 Feb will see our Mischief movie makers improvise the sequel in the evening to the afternoon’s chosen movie. Don’t worry if you miss the first part – like all good sequels, we’ll kick off the evening show with a catch-up, and we’ll still be taking your creative suggestions to make sure this sequel is every bit as fun as the original!

English National Ballet releases Swan Lake online

English National Ballet is bringing Derek Deane’s mesmerising Swan Lake to online audiences via its recently launched streaming service, Ballet on Demand. A recording of the iconic ballet will be available to rent for £7.99 from today.

Derek Deane’s version of Swan Lake has delighted audiences worldwide for over two decades. The production captures all the magic of the classic ballet, from the ballerinas in white tutus moving in unison, to the captivating romance between Prince Siegfried and the Swan Queen Odette.

Recorded at the Liverpool Empire in 2018, this performance sees Isaac Hernández dancing the role of Prince Siegfried with Jurgita Dronina as Odette/Odile and features Tchaikovsky’s glorious score performed live by English National Ballet Philharmonic.
Swan Lake is the latest world-class production English National Ballet has made available to online audiences, both in the UK and internationally, through Ballet on Demand. Other titles available to rent now include Akram Khan’s award-winning Giselle, the epic pirate adventure Le Corsaire and the Company’s first ever digital season, a series of five original and diverse dance films.

Ballet on Demand is part of ENB at Home, English National Ballet’s dedicated video-on-demand platform which gives audiences access to a wide range of ballet content from the stage and beyond, from the comfort of their homes. Launched in November 2020, the platform also features BalletActive, a library of online ballet-based training and classes from the professionals at English National Ballet, available by subscription. We are now cancelling all performances up until and including 31 May 2020 to help us process existing bookings whilst we wait for further clarity from the government in terms of when we will be able to reopen.

We are so sorry that in these testing and difficult times you are not able to enjoy the show you have booked for and hope the following helps clarify next steps in respect of your tickets .

There is nothing that you need to do if your performance has been cancelled, but we do ask for your patience.

If you have booked directly with the theatre or show website for an affected performance, please be assured that they will contact you directly to arrange an exchange for a later date, a credit note/voucher or a refund. We’d like to thank everyone who has been patient and kind in dealing with their ticket providers so far and we are sorry that we cannot process your order as quickly as we would like.

We look forward to welcoming you back into our theatres as soon as we are allowed to resume performances. In the meantime stay safe and healthy.
