Les Enfants Terribles have announced this morning a brand new online immersive experience, where participants make choices to create their own unique journey through a strange and wonderful world of videos.

The creators of Alice’s Adventures Underground, United Queendom and The Game’s Afoot have pulled together contributions across the UK, from people who have all built creative worlds within lockdown.

Expect a surreal and beautiful experience to lift you out of isolation and remind you of art’s ability to flourish even under limitations.

According to Les Enfants Terribles:

“The PRISM has been created to harness the unique power of lucid dreaming; being aware that you are dreaming and therefore being able to control outcomes, make choices, to turn bad dreams into fantasies…or make them worse.

“After all, what is real? The physical ‘you’ reading these words within your super smart device? Or could there be another world that brings us closer to reality… a world that lets us control the outcomes of our deepest desires and fears?  We are not locked down, we are set free.”

The project contains over 60 contributions, from people from all walks of life. Choose your own adventure through alien spaceships, submarines, rainforests, or a seemingly normal living room…

Artistic Director Oliver Lansley said

“Creating this ambitious online project has been a truly eye-opening experience. Having to constantly adapt and develop to harness the wonderful content sent in by our contributors – whilst also exploring what is for us, a new medium, in creating a digital immersive experience. We are learning so much and experimenting with skills that we see will influence our work moving forwards. We have been particularly inspired by the potential to create work that can be accessed by those unable to experience theatre in a conventional manner.

“We have also been truly humbled by the creativity and enthusiasm of our contributors. Their imaginations have exceeded our expectations and we think that we are going to end up with something truly unique- and most crucially, a genuine escape into another world.”

The video launch will take place at 6pm on Sunday 14 June, you can sign up for free by Friday 12 June on The Prism website through the button below.
