To be cast as the royals of the rock ‘n’ roll world, you’ve got to be pretty amazing. But as it turns out, Adrienne Warren and Kobna Holdbrook-Smith (AKA Tina & Ike Turner in Tina – The Tina The Turner Musical) are… well… SIMPLY THE BEST!

We met up with the brilliant duo to talk all things Tina Turner, discussing favourite songs (when nobody else is watching, of course), and what it was like to meet the global Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll herself, Tina Turner.

And as it turns out London theatregoers don’t have to cross no river deep or climb no mountain high to see Tina – The Tina Turner Musical. It started previews at Aldwych Theatre earlier this week.

From humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to the global Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical is the new biographical musical which follows the story of a global icon, featuring her much loved songs.

Throughout her career, Tina Turner didn’t just break the rules, she rewrote them. This new stage musical, directed by the internationally acclaimed Phyllida Lloyd, reveals the untold story of a woman who dared to defy the bounds of her age, gender and race.

There is nothing that you need to do if your performance has been cancelled, but we do ask for your patience.
