In rehearsal: Mojo

First Published 11 October 2013, Last Updated 11 October 2013

With Harry Potter’s Rupert Grint, Merlin’s Colin Morgan, Downton Abbey’s Brendan Coyle and Skyfall’s Ben Whishaw in one cast, not to mention London stage favourite Daniel Mays, anticipation for Mojo is off the scale.

That’s without throwing in former Royal Court Artistic Director Ian Rickson, who has presided over West End hits including Old Times, Betrayal and the award-winning Jerusalem or the fact that the play itself won an Olivier Award when it premiered.

So imagine our excitement to catch a glimpse of what is happening in rehearsals for the Soho-set tale of an aspiring singer whose manager is determined to keep the star in waiting out of the clutches of a local gangster.

In fact, you don’t have to imagine. You can see the images, taken by Simon Annand, above.
