We’ve all woken up hoping that a route to fame and fortune will land in our laps. But for misfit Seymour of Skid Row, that dream’s about to become a reality. Seymour’s about to transform a ramshackle flower shop into the world-famous Little Shop Of Horrors – through a mean, green, man-eating plant, invading Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre this summer.

The beloved musical is coming to the al fresco venue next month, and looks set to continue the theatre’s run of brilliant annual musicals. Take a look at the first rehearsal photos below.

A horror comedy rock musical, Little Shop Of Horrors follows the growth of killer plant Audrey II, and features popular songs including Skid Row (Downtown), Somewhere That’s Green, and Suddenly, Seymour.

Its book and lyrics are by Howard Ashman, with music from Alan Menken, who has written for numerous Disney films including Aladdin and Hercules.
