When it was announced that Evita was coming to the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre this summer, there were huge amounts of excitement. In fact, it became the fastest-selling production in the theatre’s history.

So just to tease us before the production opens in a few weeks, they’ve released some rehearsal photos of the cast in action!

Directed by Jamie Lloyd, Evita tells the real-life story of Eva Perón, the second wife of Argentine president Juan Perón. A political leader in her own right, Evita follows her journey from her early life and charity work, to her rise to power.

The cast includes Adam Pearce (Agustín Magaldi), Samantha Pauly (Eva Perón), Ektor Rivera (Juan Perón), Trent Saunders (Che) and Frances Mayli McCann (The Mistress).

The musical features a chart-topping score including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, Oh! What A Circus, Another Suitcase in Another Hall, and the Academy Award-winning You Must Love Me.

Evita runs at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre from 2 August – 21 September. Tickets available now.
