In Pictures: Olivier Covent Garden Piazza Event

The Olivier Award celebrations grew far and wide this year. Events at the Royal Opera House were central, but in Covent Garden piazza there was a public party.

Before big screens showed live coverage of the prestigious ceremony, the crowd of theatregoers who had braved the changeable April weather were entertained by performances from shows including Stomp, Chicago, Billy Elliot The Musical, Wicked, Jersey Boy and Les Misérables.
