Last year the circus performers of Cantina smacked gobs with their feats at the London Wonderground. This year Limbo brings a brand new collection of tricksters to the Southbank.
The purple trotters of upturned cow the Udderbelly are already reaching for the sky on the Southbank, which can only mean that the summer – and the eclectic treats that the London Wonderground has to offer – isn’t far away.
So we were delighted to receive David Solm’s images of the performers set to make audiences ooh and ahh in amazement with their intoxicating blend of cabaret, circus and acrobatics as part of Limbo.
Sword-swallower Heather Holliday, aerialist Jonathan Nosan and beatboxing Chinese pole master Mikael Bres, are among the performers who, accompanied by Sxip Shirey’s music and Paul Kieve’s illusions, will make jaws drop like uncaught juggling balls in the show’s 1920s inspired home, the Spiegeltent, when performances get underway from 10 May.
