In pictures: Kids Week 2015 activities

First Published 28 August 2015, Last Updated 1 September 2015

It isn’t every day that your kids get the chance to join Les Misérables on the barricades, rock out with the West End’s equivalent of The Beatles or join The Gruffalo in the deep dark wood. It’s only during Kids Week, our annual kids go free ticket promotion, which celebrated its 18th year this month.

The bargain-boasting summer offer has seen thousands of theatregoers aged 16 or under head to the West End, not only to see a London show but also to enjoy behind-the-scenes tours, quiz cast members and sometimes even take to the West End stage themselves.

This year’s free activities and workshops included everything from storytelling with I Believe In Unicorns and The Gruffalo to getting in on all the barricade-building action in Les Mis, practising puppetry with War Horse, and twisting and shouting with the cast of Let It Be.

Relive some of our favourite moments in the gallery above and, if your kids were lucky enough to have taken part in one of the many activities on offer this month, have a go at spotting them.
