This afternoon, this year’s five Special Recognition Olivier Award recipients were presented with their awards by Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cornwall. The Special Recognition Awards recognise individuals who have given an outstanding contribution to the theatre industry, often in less recognised areas.

This year’s Special Recognition Award winners are Lisa Burger, Executive Director and Joint Chief Executive of the National Theatre; designer Bob King; previous front-of-house manager and current inclusion and diversity lead Gloria Louis; philanthropist Susie Sainsbury and influential theatre school founder Sylvia Young. Each year the Olivier Awards recognise individuals who deserve special recognition for their work in the Theatre Industry. Meet this year's winners!

Julian Bird, Chief Executive of Society of London Theatre and Executive Producer of the Olivier Awards, said:
