Ice Age fans will be able to see Sid, Manny, Diego, Scrat and all their favourite characters from the hit animated films brought to life on stage this November by the directors behind some of Cirque du Soleil’s acclaimed shows.

Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure will see the much loved prehistoric gang from the successful films take on giant form with Manny the mammoth a huge 3.6 metres tall and all the characters specially designed to look like authentic animals.

Playing from 1 to 3 November at Wembley Arena at the start of the show’s five year global tour, Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure will take audiences on a brand new adventure full of action-packed thrills, eye-popping effects, new characters and toe-tapping songs.

Co-directed by Cirque du Soleil’s Guy Caron and Michael Curry, the team will bring a touch of the famous circus company’s style into the show promising gravity-defying acrobatics and spectacular costumes.

Talking about the show, Curry said: “Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure is a fantastic piece of storytelling and it combines two of the most important things in my life – animals and comedy. We are using the very best combinations we can bring to the table, with human actors, comedy, Kung Fu, ice skating, circus, costume performers and video illusion to combine many different forms – whatever works best to tell the story.”

Caron, who was Artistic Director of Cirque du Soleil when the company first formed in 1984, described the show as “a family show – it’s for the kids, it is for the parents and it is for everybody.”
