It was announced today that the West End production of Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain and the roarsome interactive show Dinosaur World Live will be coming to the Troubadour Meridian Water, Enfield this summer as part of The Drive In series.

From 19th August you can experience contact-free family-friendly live theatre at the drive in with the gruesome and hilarious facts of Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain and majestic roars of Dinosaur World Live played directly to your car’s FM radio. The performances will take place on a raised central location and will be relayed back to a giant cinema screen so that everyone can enjoy a great view no matter where you park. Snacks and drinks will also be available to order from your mobile and will be safely delivered to your car by a team of 1950s drive-in attendants.

Horrible Histories – Barmy Britan will be playing at The Drive In from 19-23 August

Horrible Histories – Barmy Britain is based on the best-selling books written by Terry Deary and gives your little ones a chance to meet people from history by bringing them back to life on stage from 19 – 23 August.

Can you beat battling Boudicca? Would you be shaken or stirred by Richard III? Will you lose your heart or head to horrible Henry VIII? Can Parliament survive gunpowder Guy? Would you stand and deliver to dastardly Dick Turpin? Escape the clutches of Burke and Hare and move to the groove with party Queen Victoria! It’s the history of Britain with all the horrible bits left in to entertain the whole family.

Dinosaur World Live will be playing from 26 – 30 August and will allow families to discover a pre-historic world of astonishing (and remarkably life-like) dinosaurs, including every child’s favourite flesh-eating giant, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, a Triceratops, Giraffatitan, Microraptor and Segnosaurus! Dinosaur World Live is fast becoming an international smash hit, following a hugely successful US tour earlier this year visiting 35 cities across 19 states, three major UK tours and London seasons at Regent’s Park Open-Air Theatre and Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre.

The best part is that you can rest assured that you and your family will have the chance to relive the magic of the great American drive theatre in a safe way. Troubadour Meridian Water have been working with health and safety experts to ensure the experience from start to finish, is completely contact-free with tickets scanned through closed car windows, cars parked 2 metres apart, and food and drink ordered from your mobiles and delivered straight to your vehicle.

Toilets will be available and will be cleaned regularly. All social distancing guidelines will be adhered to and updated in accordance with government guidelines and should guidelines change over the coming months, guests will be entitled to exchanges or refunds for any cancelled performances.
