West End Bares 2016

Graham Norton returns to front Excalibare

First Published 7 September 2016, Last Updated 7 September 2016

Cheeky annual charity fundraiser West End Bares will be fronted by a familiar face, as Graham Norton returns to host this year’s iteration, Excalibare.

Promising an evening bigger – and, of course, barer – than ever before, Graham will return to the Novello Theatre stage following his triumphant appearance last year, joined by West End star co-hosts Ramin Karimloo (Les Miserables, The Phantom Of The Opera), Gina Beck (Show Boat, Wicked) and Ben Freeman (The Rocky Horror Show).

Billed as a Knight like no other, double Olivier Award-winner David Bedella (currently starring in In The Heights) and Theatreland favourite Summer Strallen (Top Hat) will also perform on the evening, while a full company of over 100 of the most exciting performers from West End productions will raise their swords to join the charity crusade and bring medieval tales to the stage as you’ve never seen them before.

Now in its seventh year, West End Bares is the brainchild of acclaimed Broadway and West End director and choreographer Jerry Mitchell, with performances in aid of the Make A Difference Trust, a UK based charity with a vision of a world free from HIV and AIDS. Building on the legacy of 25 years of fundraising by the theatre industry, they continue to make this vision a reality, having distributed over £2.6 million in individual grants and in support of projects with UK and international partners.

West End Bares: Excalibare will play for 2 performances on Sunday 25 September, at 7pm and 9.30pm, at the Novello Theatre. Tickets can be purchased through the event’s website.
