Salt and pepper. Cheese and toast. Eggs and bacon. All perfect combinations. Now, there’s another power duo entering the mix and it’s going to blow all other beloved couplings out of the water: Eurovision and musicals. For one night only, seven top shows will be competing against each other to win West End Eurovision 2019.

On Sunday 28 April, the casts of Dinsey’s Aladdin, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Follies, Mamma Mia!, Only Fools And Horses, The Phantom Of The Opera, and Wicked will take to the stage in the hopes of winning one of four trophies. The stars will sing original Eurovision Song Contest songs to win text votes from the theatre audience and the approval of a panel of celebrity judges and judges from each competing show.

The trophies up for grabs are The Champions, The Best Ident Movie, The Best Creative and the new award for this year Outstanding Gorgeousness.

As well as the stars of the West End, Eurovision winner Dana International and UK Eurovision entry for this year, Michael Rice, will set to the stage for an exclusive performance. Plus, you can expect sequins, spandex and glitter balls aplenty!

All money raised will go to MAD Trust. The Trust works with its partners to support those living with or affected by HIV and AIDS both in the UK and Sub-Saharan Africa

Last year, Phantom took home the prize, so who will be crowned the winner in 2019? At least we know there won’t be a “nil point” in sight.

West End Eurovision 2019 will take place at the Adelphi Theatre on Sunday 28 April at 7.15pm. Tickets start from £25. Visit the West End Eurovision page for tickets.
