When you’ve been nominated for one (or several) of theatre’s biggest accolades, there’s only one thing to do: decide what you’ll wear to the ceremony. Oh, and celebrate, of course!
Offering the nominees a taste of the elegance, glamour and lavish experience in store at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 9 April, the annual Olivier Awards with Mastercard nominees’ celebration sees the lucky attendees gather for a casual lunchtime affair to mingle with one another, enjoy some light refreshments, and mark their extraordinary achievements in theatre over the past year with a glass of champagne or three.
Taking place in the Rosewood Hotel’s stunning Mirror Room, this year’s event also saw the revelation of the identity of this year’s host, the wonderful Jason Manford, and also gave us the chance to get the very first reactions to the news – with more than a fair share of modest surprise and absolute delight across the board – from this year’s toast of Theatreland.
