EduStage returns for another musical summer

Young people interested in musical theatre have the chance to show off their skills this summer by joining an EduStage holiday school at the Epsom Playhouse or Secombe theatre.

EduStage has been running non-residential summer schools across the UK since 2006, aiming to teach young people the skills involved in musical theatre performance.

This year the company is offering a week long course for children aged 8 to 12 at the Epsom Playhouse (30 July to 3 August) and two week-long courses at the Secombe theatre, one for children aged 8 to 12 (6 to 10 August) and another for teenagers aged 13 to 17 (13 to 17 August). No audition is necessary but places are limited.

Each course offers participants the chance to work on an original musical where they will be assigned individual roles. Throughout the week they will be encouraged to develop their acting, singing and dancing skills with the help of professional directors, leading to a final performance, in full costume, in front of family and friends.
