Duncan joins Betwixt!

Peter Duncan, the actor and former Blue Peter presenter, has joined the cast of forthcoming offbeat musical Betwixt! at Trafalgar Studios 2.

Duncan is still best-known for his daredevil antics on children’s television show Blue Peter during the 1980s. A former member of the National Theatre company during the 1970s, Duncan returned to acting after leaving Blue Peter, appearing in productions including Barnum, Me And My Girl and The Card at Regent’s Park Open Air theatre, for which he was nominated for an Olivier Award. He returned to the al fresco venue in 2007 to play the title role in Fantastic Mr Fox. He is also a seasoned pantomime performer.

Duncan joins Ellen Greene, Ashleigh Gray, Benedict Salter and Steven Webb in Betwixt!, Ian McFarlane’s surreal comedy musical about two New York flatmates who are catapulted into an enchanted world. Tasked with searching out a faded daytime TV star, the duo encounters heroes and hunchbacks, nymphs and mutes, as well as a disembodied head with a Bavarian accent, along the way.

Betwixt! plays at Trafalgar Studios 2 from 26 July to 20 August (press night 28 July).
