It’s the thing of West End ‘Dreams’, as the first official image of Amber Riley, Ibinabo Jack and Liisi LaFontaine as the iconic singing trio of Dreamgirls has been unveiled.

Theatregoers and the public alike can also look forward to enjoying a sneak preview of the show tonight on The Graham Norton Show, broadcast on BBC One at 10.35pm, as Amber will be performing power ballad And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going.

Photographer Greg Williams’ picture, which recreates the iconic pose associated with the eagerly anticipated soulful show, features Amber as Effie White, Ibinabo as Lorrell Robinson and Liisi as Deena Jones, and marks an exciting step in preparations towards its first West End production:

The show has also released a video, above, of preparations for the photo shoot.

Ahead of the production’s first preview at the Savoy Theatre on 19 November, and the recent release of its first rehearsal photos, an exciting momentum is beginning to build behind the production, which tells the tale of three girls on the cusp of a revolutionary time in American music history.

Their modest roots and undeniable talent catapult them to the glitz and glamour of stardom, but they are taught a harsh lesson about the world of showbiz along the way.
