If this news doesn’t get your inner child giddy with joy, we don’t know what will. Disney’s smash-hit West End Summer Pop-Up is back this year! And it’ll contain incredible access to their West End musicals, both beloved and up-and-coming: The Lion King, Aladdin, Mary Poppins and Frozen.

Opening up next week (Tuesday 23 July) at 21 Long Acre, Covent Garden, WC2E 9LD – right in the heart of Theatreland – Disney’s West End Summer Pop-Up will hold a whole host of free interactive experiences and special events for all ages to enjoy.

New for this year’s experience are focuses on the Frozen musical – which will open at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in 2020 – and Mary Poppins, which is returning to its original West End home, London’s Prince Edward Theatre, this autumn.

So if you’re looking for somewhere to chill out this summer, visit the Pop-Up experience to interact with the Frozen musical and strike a social media-worthy pose in a specially-created photo moment. And you better brush up on your “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”es, because you’ll be put through your paces with Mary Poppins’ spelling challenge while you’re there.

You’ll also be able to learn all about the award-winning costumes, masks and puppets which are central to the show, getting up-close and personal to learn about the inspiration behind its world-class designs. And if you’re seeking a Whole New World of Aladdin fun, there’ll be its nostalgic charms in abundance – and possibly a Genie’s lamp or two…

There’s also a variety of free events taking place there daily, including exclusive performances and meets-and-greets with the casts of The Lion King and Aladdin, plus vocal and movement workshops led by Disney Theatrical Teaching Artists to get you fully immersed in the choreography. There’s even a Mary Poppins-inspired kite-making event in the programme.
