Death Drop takeover at TKTS

There was quite a commotion at the TKTS booth in Leicester Square this afternoon, as the Queens from Death Drop paid a special visit. Kitty Scott-Claus, Jujubee, Anna Phylactic and Apple Derrieres dropped by the booth to… erm… lend a hand and perhaps very subtly promote their show.

The Queens were a HUGE help – selling tickets, providing excellent, non-biased advice on what to see (I hear Death Drop is meant to be good), and keeping the Friday afternoon crowd entertained with their dazzling charm. They even made friends with some Leicester Square locals, including Paddington and the statue of Mr Bean, who at one point Kitty mistook for Holly Stars.

Death Drop, the laugh-a-minute murder mystery returns to the West End at the Criterion Theatre for a strictly limited 7 week run. Starring acclaimed RuPaul’s Drag Race drag queens, the self-confessed “Drag-atha Christie” play opened at the Garrick Theatre in 2020, and returned for a summer engagement in 2021.

Set in 1991, a group of drag kings and drag queens come together for a 10th anniversary dinner party for Princes Charles and Princess Diana. During the soirée, guests reveal their sordid pasts to one another. However, this party is a gathering like no other, and it eventually turns into a thrilling murder mystery.

The Queens were so helpful. So gracious. As long as you were after a ticket to Death Drop, that is… Tickets to any other show were mysterious unavailable this afternoon. The TKTS staff including Viviana, Alex and John, were grateful for the extra help on a busy Friday afternoon.

They slayed so much we even offered them a job, but they declined. It turns out they’re quite busy. They’re in a show. The show’s called Death Drop and it’s at the Criterion Theatre. Grab your tickets here before they’re gone.
