Louise Redknapp will return to the role of Violet Newstead in 9 To 5 The Musical from 25 March until 29 June, it has been revealed.

Following Louise’s unfortunate injury and withdrawal from the show weeks before the first performance, Caroline Sheen has been playing the part to huge acclaim. But having recovered, Louise will portray Violet in the hit Dolly Parton musical for a three-month spell.

Casting for the role from 1 July has yet to be announced. 9 To 5 The Musical is currently booking at the Savoy Theatre until 31 August.

9 To 5 The Musical officially opened in the West End last month, where Dolly Parton herself attended the premiere and joined the cast on stage in a memorable finale.

Louise is well-known to audiences across the country as a multi-million-record-selling musician, as well as a musical theatre star (playing Sally Bowles in the recent national tour of Cabaret) and a 2016 Strictly Come Dancing finalist.

She joins Amber Davies, Natalie McQueen, Bonnie Langford and Brian Conley in this musical tale of three workmates who’re pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss – and decide to team up to take care of business. The musical is based on the legendary film.
