Charlie And Lola, everyone’s favourite siblings since Topsy And Tim, will return to their original London theatrical home this summer for a magical run at the Polka theatre.

Playing from 18 July to 25 August, Charlie And Lola’s Best Bestest Play premiered at the Polka theatre in 2008 and has since played around the world, as far as Australia, Brazil and Singapore.

Suitable for children aged four to seven years old, Charlie And Lola’s Best Bestest Play is based on the hugely popular characters made famous in Lauren Child’s picture books and television series, and features an exciting mix of puppets and music as 2D and 3D worlds collide.

Adapted from some of Child’s funniest episodes and stories, the shows asks if Lola will ever tidy her messy room or go to sleep, even though she isn’t sleepy and refuses to go to bed!

For parents with younger children and babies, Polka theatre offers special Watch With Baby shows that enable the whole family to enjoy the play. Visit the Polka theatre website for more details.

Next spring will see even more Charlie And Lola action with the theatre currently developing a sequel to the show, Charlie And Lola’s Extremely New Play. The show will premiere at the Sydney Opera House in autumn before returning home to Polka theatre in Spring 2013.
